The pictures tell Lee's story. From western landscapes, to portraiture- underwater, magazine covers, weddings, calendars, and South Pacific landscapes - Lee has given his life to photographic imagery.
Lee's first 35mm camera came via his father 50 years ago, a man who was a reporter/photographer. Since 1982 Lee has made his living with cameras. Lee has published South Pacific and western landscape images and calendars for 20 years now. Lee has a passion for capturing weddings, portraits and those special occasions. Lee's images have been used on web sites, magazine covers and calendars and have been published in the millions (by published image count). From the Minister of State, to the Dep. Premier of Alberta, his clients include Bayer Animal Health, Western Producer Magazine; Alberta Beef magazine; Cargill Nutrition; Canadian Cattleman Magazine; Cattleland Feedyards Ltd; Westway Feeds; Doc Seaman; Farm Credit Corporation; Ian Tyson; John Scott Motion Picture Animals; along with hundreds of other corporations and individual web sites, too numerous to even catalogue.
Many of the images you see have been taken with either 35mm Zeiss lenses or 645 medium format cameras and prime Zeiss lenses. In 2000 Lee added digital cameras to his gear. Today he still shoots film along with Canon full frame sensors and prime (fixed focal length) lenses. Wedding and portraiture photography are most rewarding. There are no situations that Lee cannot handle in Alberta's climate. From infants, portraits, weddings, underwater imagery to volcanoes, wranglers or clouds, his image repertoire is expansive. Lee sells stock images and does custom photography for clients who want that special moment: land, aerial, or water captured- Lee will accommodate you. He has the experience to capture your special moment.
The photos indicate a photographer's ability and eye for composition in various areas. Lee also teaches photography and holds practicums for those graduating in MA degrees in Photography.
Lee has a passion for light and rendering it with accuracy under the most difficult situations you can imagine. Has your photographer ever shot the Ironman in Hawaii? Have they ever shot a wedding in the South Pacific? Give me a call to see my portfolio. The images speak for themselves. Lee has had rare access to the great ranches of Western Canada during the past 25 years and as the founder of Alberta Beef Magazine and co-owner of 4 magazines and scores of annually published calendars, Lee can create the images that are important to you. With Lee, you are hiring a professional photographer with predictable results, with an ability to handle light and extreme situations which test the masters of the photographic arts.
